Anyone resilient enough to survive has developed a coping mechanism, whether it's a costume (Thespians), a retreat into science or art (Doc and May), misunderstood religion (Paul), or violence and bad behavior (David).<br /><br />Cassie's way of coping is to sometimes refuse to see or pursue the truth. She's emotionally healthier than a lot of other survivors, but she's got a long way to go.
